So I got a crockpot for the first time, and I kind of messed up. I ended up not cleaning it for a week, and it got really moldy. I cleaned it with water and soap, and then put it in the dishwasher (two times for the lid). The smell in the bowl itself is gone, but the lid smells like the old food. Is there any tips to get the smell out? Is it even safe to use?

This is the crockpot I have:

When I worked in a cafeteria, we used to soak our things in diluted vinegar. Not sure if that would work here, but possibly?
Maybe try sprinkling some baking soda on it and the pour some vinegar on it. Let it sit for a little while?
Stop running your dishwasher on eco mode 😅😅
70° that shit
It’s glass? Or plastic? Glass should clean up perfectly fine.
First, scrub your kitchen sink with Comet or Borax. Get all the crud off with a 3M scrubby sponge and rinse well. Then fill it up with hot hot water, add 2 tablespoons of bleach (or two-three glugs from the bottle). Let it sit for 20 minutes, then drain. Now put in the lid. Refill the sink with hot hot water and a bit of bleach again, then let it soak for a little while. Rinse. Repeat as needed.
Lol I had the same exact situation happen this week! Soaking my lid got rid of the smell. I had to do it twice with dawn and then I let it sit out
Bleach the hell out of it, soak it over night.
I forgot about potatoes one time and it stink my whole cabinet up when I had to move it. Only thing that dissipated the smell for me was using coffee grounds. If all else fails I’d put it in a bag with coffee grounds for a day or so and then clean.
I’ve done this loads of times – put a hefty amount of dish soap in the pot, put some on the lid too if you want then put the lid inside the pot.
Fill the pot with scalding water and leave to soak for a few hours. After that, use a scouring pad you don’t care much for, and give both another scrub with dish soap and hot water. I also spray some antibacterial kitchen cleaner in there too and wash both again. Good luck!
If it’s got screws for the handle or hinges, try taking those apart and letting it soak before giving it a good scrub.
