I usually get 2 turkeys around Thanksgiving. I prepare the 2nd one in Jan/Feb.

Oh yes! Just did the same thing yesterday. I usually grab the ones that come unseasoned/unbrined with the packet on the inside so I have some flexibility if I want to smoke it. Actually got my brother to do the same. Great way to save $$.
