Pickled jalapenos gone bad or okay to eat? (See comment)

    Jalapenos, onions, carrots, kosher salt, vinegar, water…

    It’s only been 4 days but there is a weird, oily looking film at the top. I accidentally swirled the jar before taking a pic so doesn’t show, but there was also a weird cloudy film on the sides of the jar above the liquid.

    Im wondering if its because the onions were sautéed before… but anyway I just want to know if it’s okay to eat ! Thanks
