chicken hearts shitake mushrooms barbecue sauce hot sauce mirin water flour
bask the hearts and shrooms in a thin sauce of barbecue sauce, hot sauce, mirin and water and bake for 10 min in 200 C. take out the hearts and bask again in the sauce, now thickened with more barbecue sauce and a bit of flour, the put back in the oven. repeat 10 minutes later, with even more flour in the sauce, back in the oven for another 10 minutes.

What country are you from? I thought chicken hearts were an exclusively brazillian thing.

Chicken hearts (also the gizzards) aren’t that cheap where I live (California). It’s disappointing, because I like them. I can get boneless/skinless thighs for the same price, and my wife will actually eat those.

What is the texture of the hearts like? I’m curious to try but feel like they might be though or have a wierd texture
