Bit hard to see from the picture but whenever I use my slow cooker, water always pools up over the lid and ends up leaking all down the sides if I don’t regularly soak it up first. This is on all temperatures and from half to almost full.

This is my first slow cooker but this doesn’t seem right. Do I have a faulty one, am I doing something wrong, any tips?

Mine doesn’t leak down the sides, just condenses under the lid. I saw a video of a dude making biryani rice who rolled a rope of dough and placed it around the seam of the lid. Might work for you, if you have dough handy.

either wrong or defective lid or a defective crock. You can try aluminum foil or dough etc as others have said

Is the handle on the lid tightened all the way?

All depends on the brand. Some brands will have small weep holes around the crock to allow this to drain back in. Other brands do not and what you see happening is a result.
