I accidentally dropped and dented my wok. How do I go about fixing it or will I have to start over seasoning a new one? 😥

I think your SOL. The good thing is that you can get a better wok. I bought the same one on sale at Amazon and am pretty disappointed in the quality.

What about the scraping off of the coating, is that an issue?

Get a hammer and see if you can pound it back to good enough.

If it’s dented enough to bother you, buying a new one is more feasible than trying to smooth it out.

Never having been on the receiving end of it, I find it hilarious that the Wok Shop owner (in her 80’s) is apparently utterly indifferent to customer outrage that she feels no need to keep customers informed when there are shipping or inventory issues. Her woks got a thumbs up from J. Kenji Alt-Lopez though.

    IMy wok is this one:

They make both flat and round bottom.[Yosukata](https://www.amazon.com/Pre-Seasoned-Carbon-Steel-Wok-Pan/dp/B084DQYNNM/ref=asc_df_B084DQYNNM/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=416747959193&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16768401641271480836&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9067609&hvtargid=pla-901648731080&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=94717452940&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=416747959193&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16768401641271480836&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9067609&hvtargid=pla-901648731080)

A dent isn’t a big issue, really. You can hammer it out to get it back to normal or leave it as is. If there’s cracking within the dent, you should replace it.
