I’ve been really unhappy with my travel set-up for a while now. So I’ve paired it down to the essentials. I can’t wait to test it out soon.
Items in the kit:
1. One cup Bialetti
2. Aeropress and paddle
3. 14cm induction stove adapter
4. Various cleaning Brushes
5. Small metal container for Aeropress filters (aliexpress find)
6. 2 Random unbranded espresso cups, one out of glass for Cafe Bombons.
7. Sweetened condensed milk for Cafe Bombons.
8. Cheap electric milk frother from Amazon.
9. Brush for cleanup of workspace.
10. Comandante mk3, redclicks kit, with plastic container instead of glass.
11. Mens toiletry bag from DM
I am prone to overpacking, so it was really important to me that everything fit inside a small bag. I’ve taken both my Flair58 and Bellman stovetop milk steamer with me on vacation before, and although the espresso was excellent, it wasn’t worth the extra weight I had to carry. Whats not included in this kit is the 0.5L water kettle I just bought because I’m testing it out. This kit is full, unfortunately there is no room for a mug. I’ve had rental places before with mugs either so narrow the Aeropress didn’t fit or so “stylish” I was afraid of breaking it while pressing. As always this is a work in progress.

Super interesting stuff, like that baby moka and condensed milk tube (had to look up what *Gezuckerte Kondensmilch* is as I thought it was hand cream for a split second). Both the C40 and AeroPress seem to be the popular duo I often see for travel carry, due to the compact size of both and ease of use without much (small filters helps as well). I can’t imagine hauling around a Flair, and good call on dropping the mug – cups are some of the easiest things to source. It’s funny because with a C40 and AeroPress, along with some nice beans – you can effectively make a better brew than a lot of cafes who say use an EK43 and specialized water.
