I stopped eating meat in high school (which is blasphemy as a Chicagoan, I know). But I have slipped a couple times for a dog and an Italian beef. I’m not a patriotic man, but dammit I stand and salute that beautiful poppyseed bun and our neon relish.

I bought two hot dogs at Wrigley once, and accidentally dropped one. Felt like I was watching $8 fall in slow motion, land in a puddle, and then roll under the condiment table.
Great dogs though.

Damn that’s a lot of onions
dreamWeaver82
That looks awful

I once saw someone fill a plate full of pickles from the condiment stand in wrigley
LoboDaTerra

I’m a mustard only guy at wrigley. I always try to eat one an inning and have not succeeded yet and left sick many a time. Also try for a beer an inning that one even tougher and makes you even more sick!

Looks a lot better than what I was able to get at Wrigley back in the 70’s and 80’s.
Shaomoki
I did that same thing yesterday, and it soaked all the way through the bun. Had to scoop it all up like a deconstructed sandwich.
GrimJudas
The color of the relish checks out, that’s the good stuff.
eschenky
Topped just the way you like it. I’d have a little more mustard.

Murphy’s has/had? The best condiment station at their walk up window, slices of tomato, cucumbers, and even sport peppers if I recall.

Looks fantastic, enjoy!

I moved to KC and while I’m glad to have access to BBQ, I miss my beef and dragged dogs.

Heading to Wrigley for the first time in July, this is high on the agenda.

The pickle ruins the dog for me. No tomatoes are necessary either. I prefer the depression era dog style. Still looks tasty though.

Fuck the cubs!

This looks alot like the Chicago style dog I paid only $4 for at a supermarket deli in Washington State and it came with a soda.
I think i prefer our Seattle dog though with its cream cheese, carmakized onions, and jalapeños

No sports?!

Where are the sport peppers? And a liberal shower of celery salt please.

Cubs dogs are trash. Go to fatsos last stand for a real Chicago dog
jchester47
The onion/mustard balance is off, but would still smash. 6.5/10.

So they still have the condiment bars in the concourse?
Loved swiping a few spears from them at every game!

My biggest Chicago food hot take is the food at wrigley is trash compared to the food at guaranteed rate
