Beef shio broth and dashi, menma, green onions, soft boiled seasoned egg and thin slices of A5 wagyu. The broth was light while the beef was rich, so that contrast was really cool. The bowl was on the pricey side ($28) but it was a damn good bowl of soup.

What a great idea for a topping. The umami from the fat must’ve been incredible.

Is it actually wagyu? I feel so many restaurants advertise wagyu in a dish (not on its own but in ramen or dishes like this) and it’s not actually wagyu.
