We celebrated our 10-year anniversary with dinner at Ling Wu Asian Kitchen last night. Overall I really liked it. I thought the dishes were (mostly) interesting and well-executed. We primarily ordered the dishes that our server recommended.
* Scallion pancake with curry sauce. This was super tasty, I like scallion pancakes a lot anyway, but this one was really nice. They can tend to be greasy, but this one was flaky and chewy without being oily. * Soup dumplings. These were yummy. Pretty standard soup dumplings, but they were tasty and well-prepared. * Sea cucumber har gow. These were tasty too. They had a lot of shrimp in them, which I was expecting more sea cucumber, but they were still good. As a note though, they are made with activated charcoal, which I usually don’t eat (due to medications). Just something to know if you aren’t supposed to eat that ingredient. * Sauteed pea shoots. I like pea shoots and I order them as often as I see them on a menu. These were good, but pretty standard. I think for $17 I just expected them to be a little more special. * Crispy Szechuan alligator. Forgot to take a picture of this one. This was a miss for me. It was VERY salty. I love salty food, but neither of us could eat more than a few pieces.
My takeaway is it’s a cool new spot and a nice addition to southwest Austin. I would definitely go back, probably next time for the dim sum brunch.

Tried it the other day. Great food, excellent staff. I think the prices are reasonable.

Ling Wu is great! I’m glad we finally have a decent restaurant. That whole area needs to add more restaurants.
