Is this pho? It looks like it at first glance but the noodles are round (bun) and not the flat pho noodles. At first it looks bun bo hue. But it doesn’t have the correct meat and bone I think? So now I am thinking it might be Bun Rieu, as some restaurants I go to don’t mix the egg and crab together into the broth, but lump it up like those orange things. The orange things could also be fish balls, I dunno. Can OP or anyone shed more light on this dish? In any case it fucking looks delicious.
One side comment, on the left hand side of the pic, you are not really supposed to eat the brown part of the stem for the basil leaves. You certainly can, just most people don’t. Pick pick off the basil. I tend to tear mine up to unlock it and add even more sweet basil flavor.
