If you grew up in the valley, you know what [botanas](https://twitter.com/MyTacoOle/status/627253453975257089?s=20) are. I haven’t been able to find them here. Is it even possible?

I know what you mean…but sadly I have never seen the RGV style botanas in Austin.

I miss botanas, tried making it once at home and didn’t come out the same way. Would love it for a place up here to make them.

Reach out to Con Todo. They sometimes do their takes on RGV & north México traditional dishes. Maybe they can make these.
The second best option is knowing someone at the kitchen of a Mexican restaurant and hope they can mix other dishes to recreate these.

Thought about it more – maybe the people at Oye Taquito will know a place (they make Brownsville style street tacos that are legit).
