three more, underrated / slept-on burgers to recommend to this sub:

    (1) the cheeseburger at for the win (franklin village)

    (2) the brisket burger at moo’s bbq

    (3) the cheeseburger at broad street oyster (malibu)

[also, on its best day, i think the double-quarter pounder with cheese at mcdonald’s can hang with anyone. indeed, on its very very best day, i think the mcdonald’s combo of double-quarter pounder + fries + mcnuggets + fountain coke / sprite / or hi-c orange + vanilla soft-serve is about as good as a “burger meal” gets]

  2. booboo0419

Nice list, just saved it, hopefully get to try them all

  3. lambchoplives

The burger at Damon’s in Glendale is pretty noice

  4. GreatLeopard3

Where would you put Burgers Never Say Die?

  5. JoeyJoJoeShabadooJr

I love Petit Trois, but the sauces on their burger are just too much for me

  6. NonSequitorSquirrel

Hiho is just an easy go to. Love them for a quick satisfying bite.

  7. Attractive list. i would have Golden State and Cassels and Pie and Burger higher.

  8. seandamon211pgh

I’m ashamed to admit my favorite burger is a Big Mac. Idk if it’s nostalgia from getting them with my mom growing up or what but they just hit different.

  9. pokerchef24

Yeah…this list ain’t it. Maybe if you differentiate between restaurant burgers and grubby type burgers it would make sense but to not include Pie’n Burger, Burgers Never Say Die and In-N-Out is absurd.

  10. ajaxsinger

Thumbs up for HiHo — only fast-food burger I’ve had in LA that compared fondly with Swenson’s in Akron, Ohio.

  11. It’s a crime that Amboy isn’t included here

    WOOPS!

  12. imhigherthanyou

Man that amboy burger is severely undercooked. I’m eating a burger, not high quality tartar.

  13. Honor Bar Burger in Beverly Hills is one of the best burgers you’ll have. Not sure how that was missed

  14. VaguelyArtistic

That Petit Trois burger looks revolting. Like someone made it with a ice cream sundae.

  15. No in-n-out makes this list wack. You can’t exclude the pound for pound king.

  16. When is LA gonna be properly recognized as a burger town? Because we have some seriously good burgers here, especially if you like smash burgers.

  17. OP, try out Everson Royce Bar sometime. The burger is simple but very good

  18. scaremonster

Goldburger, The Window, For The Win, and Heavy Handed are all top tier

  19. legagneur

That burger at Petit Trois is what dreams are fucking made of. Best French-style burger I’ve had in the US.

  20. clvr_sqrl

Try the burger at OyBar in Studio City! I’d def rank in top 3-5 in LA.

  21. Lambesis96

I tried IRVs just yesterday. It was good, but just that, not great. I dont get the hype. Also Ive been to Burger She Wrote several times and though its a good smash burger, its not that great especially for the price. Pretty standard smash burger, nothing stands out about it and again, pretty pricey.

Honestly for a good bang for your buck burger In N Out stomps both IRVs and Burger She Wrote, even if we leave out the price theyre around the same ball park in terms of flavor. IRVs just didnt have enough seasoning and had too much lettuce imo.

  22. Bennito83

How is Burgers Never Say Die nowhere to be seen? There isn’t a better smashburger. Some come close, but it ain’t the same.

  23. ginbooth

How would you rate the Big Mec? I’m debated getting this to go on a weeknight after work soon. Lately, I’ve been all over the cheeseburger at AJ’s BBQ. It’s a hidden gem on their menu.

  24. Irvs is so damn good but the price is infuriating. But kinda glad it cost a lot cause I live close and would likely go way too often if it was cheaper

  25. StrongmanEvan

Respectfully disagree. Any top ten LA burger list that doesn’t include a double double is invalid

i’m saving this thread because my god
