I really want to clean the stainless steel on my línea mini. I bought from friend and I’m guessing he didn’t do much of that. What has worked? Is it possible?

Try Flitz stainless polish on a hidden area and see if it messes up the factory polished stainless steel.

It’s definitely ruined, you should absolutely sell it to me for cheap…

  3. The screws around the edge of the lower panel pictured allow you to remove the entire top section. Turn the machine off and remove the power cord from the wall first.
You will then be able to clean it without fear of damaging the coating/paint on the body of the machine.

The blooming pattern below is likely mineral scale from wet cups or steam jugs being stacked on top. A very light and careful cleaning with a mineral scale or lime scale remover and a very soft plastic brush may remove the worst of it.
The polished panel above, will be harder to clean as it’s quite visible and mirror polished. I would first clean well with a mild detergent and very hot water, then use a stainless steel appropriate polishing compound to clean and polish as much as possible. Alternatively buying a new cup support tray could be another option.

You can single dose convert your Mazzer 🙂

You may need to clean with white vinegar and a microfibre cloth, if this isn’t sufficient, it will need polish.

Try a metal polish designed for fine finishes with a microfibre cloth, remove the panel and test on the underside to ensure no damaging.

    Vinegar normally works.

  5. I’ve used the cleaner that the LM comes with for flushes and cleaning the portafilters. It cuts through grime on the stainless backsplash and cup warmer easily enough. Not sure the long term effects tho.

  6. Likely just from putting wet cups on the panel. Any scale remover should clean it up, but if vinegar and let it sit. Or something similar to what you’d get rid of shower glass scale with. Just need something that’s not abrasive.

For what it’s worth though that panel will almost always get scratched over time. Unless you choose not to put cups on it. It will happen.
