So I broke the safety valve on my pump trying to drop from 9-6.5 bars, and had to order a new one. It finally came in the mail, and I had some time to replace it the other day. In the meantime, I decided now was probably a good time to repaint the espresso grinder. The boss won’t allow any colour in our kitchen, so I naturally had to go with black, but I decided to make it more interesting by messing around with some matte and gloss contrast. It all finally came together yesterday, and I’m happy to announce that the home shop had its grand reopening this morning!
PSA – don’t zoom in too much. It was my first real painting project, and ended up with a bunch of orange peel. It *almost* looks deliberate so I guess I’ll keep it for now 😂

Could you give some info about the Mazzer mods? I have a stock mini and would love to get it looking/working like yours!
What about steam wand? Was it Hard to replace? Does it have more movement around? Any benefits from default one?
Why did you drop the pressure? I thought 9 bar was the unchallenged champion of espresso pressures?
