I’m a big fan of The Bazaar. How was San Laurel? Quality match the price tag? High quality or just alright?

How was the tartare? Too tomatoey?

Im quite curious how the service was. My wife and I went to Bazaar and enjoyed the food, but the service was sub-par at best when held to a fine-dining standard. Dishes were mainly brought by bussers with no explanation. My wife’s courses were brought at different times than mine (to the point that I was three courses behind her at the end). Also, many courses were brought while the current course was still being eaten.
At any normal restaurant none of that isn’t a big deal, but at the steep price of a fancy tasting menu I considered it a pretty big failure. We decided there are better options than ever trying Bazaar again.
Curious if you experienced any issues, as this food looks really good!

The Menu has probably completely ruined my ability to ever eat at a restaurant like this again and not make jokes about that movie the whole meal.

I went for brunch when it opened and it was horrible. Your photos look far better than what we received. I’m not convinced this restaurant has any real involvement from Jose Andres other than his name.

Actually really liked this place. Price wasn’t too bad.

I just went to one of his restaurants over the weekend and did a little reading on his current projects. Not many other restauranteurs in the world have so much going on! Impressive

Could you please elaborate further on the restaurant having a “casual feel.” Considering the hefty price and appearance I would be shocked to receive casual service.

Neighborhood bars trim their iberico better than that in Spain. José needs to have a convo with his jamonero.

That vermicelli Mac and cheese holy mother of god I would go just for that.
