Just realized all the taco stands at Grand Central Market charge $5-$6 for a single taco because they can feed three people

I think that’s if you just order one. If you get two you get the same amount of meat.

Tacos a tumbras if i remember correctly. They used to be $3 for a full size corn tortilla and 3 heaping scoops of meat with extra tortillas on the side equating to about 4 tacos. It’s still relatively cheap but those were the days when i could take the redline to pershing square and have a good meal for less than $10.

Get one taco and ask for a warm flour tortilla.
BOOM got a burrito.

That looks like an ANA MARIA single giant taco. I prefer their restaurant’s to any other Mexican or taco restaurant in the entire Grand Central Market. The other taco stands in the GCM are also all good but they’re not as delicious and humongous as ANA MARIA’s which is also located close to the center of the market between that old Chinese restaurant and that other Roast To Go taco stand in the center of the market, in which my opinion, is more for native Mexicans and serves smaller and lower priced tacos with more exotic meats such as from pig snout, cow head and stomach which for the average customer might be considered a little more of an acquired taste.

Skip Morelianos on Broadway. Same price (5per) for a literal street size taco. I spent $40 there and it wasn’t even good. Otherwise, GCM isn’t bad but the meat isn’t good. Tumbras a Tomas is all right, but you can quite literally taste the rub on their asada.

Shout out to Ana Maria’s and Roast to Go! Been eating there since ‘85

Does anyone put sour cream on their tacos in California? I am moving to SoCal from the Northeast, and everyone uses it in the NE but I don’t see it in California

Inflation sucks but if the portion size look like that, I’ll still buy it 🤷🏻♂️
