Crab Cake, Filet Mignon and Cherry White Chocolate Cheesecake from Harbour 60

  1. This was my first time here and it was a bit of a crazy experience for me as I went alone to a corporate event I was invited to by a vendor I work with. When I got the invite I debated going thinking it might be a bit awkward not really knowing anyone and not having done anything like this since before covid, but how could I pass up an oppurtunity to finally try this place with the vendor footing the bill?

    When I arrived I was escorted to a cozy private banquet room where staff took my coat, greeted me and asked what I’d like to drink. I walked in to see mad strangers in suits and immediately thought “wtf have I got myself into?” but once the cocktails started hitting, I managed to mingle decently and feel comfortable.

    As for the meal itself, it was outstanding, probably the best crab cake I’ve ever had, the filet mignon was cooked to perfection (their medium is more like med-rare) and that cheesecake was unreal. I’m so glad I decided to go because this meal and overall experience was super fly and worth overcoming the initial awkwardness. The service was A1 all night. Not sure how much a meal like this would cost normally and while I’m sure it’s overpriced, the food and service absolutely lived up to the hype and reputation. Definitely would consider going again for a special occasion and especially if I’m not paying lol

    Glad it tastes good, but the plating is atrocious considering the price.

    Glad you didn’t have to spend your own money. That place is the prime example of a “good if you aren’t using paying with your own money kind of place”.

    I’m a big fan of Scaramouche once a year for a fancy meal out. Food is always excellent, service top notch, and a great view. The decor is a little dated, but it still works.

    Not cheap, but much better value than steakhouses and arguably better food.

    Key to a good experience is being comfortable and not feeling like you don’t belong. Dress nice, ask questions if you’re not sure and if there’s any etiquette doubts, figure it out before you go.
