Why doesn’t Whole Foods switch back to compostable food containers? The current innopak containers are not compostable since they are poly coated as stated on their website

Why doesn’t Amazon use sustainable packaging? The same company that will use a metric ton of plastic to ship you a toothbrush?

For decades WFM had worked toward scaling back single use plastic and was the first grocer to eliminate plastic bags. Once Amazon bought it, that was out the window. When you walk into a store now, it’s immediately clear where they stand – the first thing you see is the Amazon returns department, which alone uses more plastic than any store in its entirety did before the purchase.

If the cost of this packaging is $0.0002 less than an eco friendly alternative, then this is what they’ll use. Bezos does not have a soul and he makes sure this is reflected in everything he touches.

Because Jeff Bozo needed a 47th bathroom in his mansion. And also a new yacht.
