Hey everyone,

Throughout the past three years I have been making a list on google sheets of restaurants recommended on this subreddit, various articles, and through word of mouth. Since my list has grown to around 500 restaurants I thought placing them all on a Google Map would be super helpful. This allows you to see recommended restaurants wherever you are in the city. Please provide any feedback you think would help out. I’m also looking at adding bars to the map as well.

Here is the link: [https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1yiPsrDE2TfS5GZTDeF9svz403-f12C8s&usp=sharing](https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1yiPsrDE2TfS5GZTDeF9svz403-f12C8s&usp=sharing)

Cheers!

Edit: I changed the link so now people can edit the map. Feel free to add your favorite restaurants.

This is awesome! I did something similar for people who come from out of town and ask for recommendations for not only food but landmarks. It’s just so much easier to avoid the “that’s to far from my hotel” and give someone a map.

You didn’t put Freddy’s in Cicero, IL on this list? Or Top Notch Beefburger(Beverly), or Paradise Pup(Des Plaines) on this list? That somewhat all surprises me.

What a great resource! To fill out the void in the Belmont Gardens area (we don’t get much love out this way), I recommend adding:

Moonwalker Cafe (4101 W Belmont Ave)

The branch of Bryn Mawr Breakfast Club at 4459 W Belmont Ave

Taqueria Poncitlan Jalisco (4460 W Diversey Ave)

    Charly’s Burgers (Cicero and Fullerton)
