Seven Lives has a really tasty octopus taco, I pair it with a house made drink (tea or lemonade).

Itacate for authentic Mexican.
For more “unique” but delicious tacos, Campechano or Seven Lives
justanotherfuckeryo
Pico de gallo – or any of the other taco spots in 214 Augusta Ave would be my pick

I’ve done a pretty massive taco tour in Toronto. My faves: completo – leslieville (that chorizo tho), Maizal – King West, seven lives – Kensington. Has anyone been to grand electric recently? Did it survive COVID? They were elite like 6 years ago.
granfrad
for rough street style tacos, Latin World in my favourite (bloor and lansdown). if you want to be a fit fancier but still authentic, campechano.
I used to like tacos el asador, but i think they have fallen off a bit.

I’m a Gus Tacos man myself.

Campechano on Adelaide is the best taco I’ve ever had.

Casamiento on Dupont does amazing fish tacos.

GORDITAS!!!!! it’s by finch and Weston. It’s a little store outside the plaza Latina. One of the only places where my Taco cravings from Mexico were actually satisfied😂😂

GUS tacos
Comal y canela
Some ones that I haven’t seen here yet:
Piñata is a great new option on Dundas West
El Trompo is a classic
Not mentioned so far. I really like Puerto Bravo for their consistency.
Gus Tacos is my local now but they’re still figuring out their footing as its their new location (Kingston Road)
Also, El Nahual Tacos in Cabbagetown. el sazon de la tia flor for their specials (the lasagne is outstanding when its available)
ps; I am really birria’d out at this point and tend to go to places that don’t push birria as their feature dish. A lot of it is very mediocre.
I don’t eat a ton of tacos, so take all this with a grain of salt.
On Toronto St., the unfortunately named El Chapo had some killer tacos. It’s closed now, but damn, those were good.
I really like Mad Mexican’s tacos (Jane and Annette). The tortillas taste sweet and go really well with the savoury meats and toppings.
gus tacos or 7 lives
Seven lives and Tita’s are my go-to spots
Atomic 10 is my go-to. Great vibe and gluten free options. The birria is a must try!
Campechano
I love El Rey, their octopus and chorizo taco is insane.
Used to love Tacos 101 when they were on Dundas, I havent tried since they moved.
Gus is always consistent!
Make ‘em at Home
Thanks for all the recommendations peeps, I’ll definitely try to check out all these spots
Kings Tacos
I like La Chingada on Dundas. They do AYCE tacos for $25 on Thursdays and Happy Hour from 4-7 PM.
I love El Pocho Antojitos for a nice sit down place 🙂
i know it’s not ‘authentic’, but i heavily prefer flour tortillas. anywhere that you’d reccomend that does NOT use corn tortillas in their tacos?
Itacate is my favourite place.[Itacate on St Clair W](https://www.facebook.com/itacateTO/menu/)
Los Gyros by a mile
Balam
campechano, tita’s
This is just sad…..
