  1. my mom is staying in WeHo now, and I guess she heard of this place from a Chamber of Commerce email for some reason. I don’t live in the area, and I hadn’t heard of it. A quick look on yelp showed that it’s a trendy place with lovers and haters. Lots of kids came thru while we were there, getting slices and pictures of the neon sign…

On to the pizza itself. We got a whole “doughy” pepperoni. $32 plus tax. We were both pretty happy. Nice fluffy/crunchy deep dish style crush. The sauce was good. Generous portion of pepperonis. We both remarked that one slice was pretty filling. 8 slices in the whole pie. Moms ate 1.5 slices. Me, being pretty hungry, ate 3.5, and we so we had 3 left over. One pie could easily be two meals for two people.

There’s a surface parking lot close by with parking for $1.50/hr. Overall I’d recommend this joint if you’re in the area. They also do slices for something like $6 a piece.

edit: if anyone knows the story behind this place, feel free to share, I’m kind of curious lol

  2. Maybe it’s good pizza. I’ll never know. But the kid who owns it is a complete d-bag. One of these, “I have millions of youtube followers and millions of dollars so that makes me important, right?” kind of influencers.

  3. $32 for some flour, tomatoes and pep? What has happened to this country.

Hey all you “dogs pissing on a fire hydrant” the way people react on social media, ok you do NOT like this person and whatever he has been doing in the news media, but this is a basically food blog where people go for local restaurant and food recommendations. If that guy made it this far however he did–he still made it that far right or wrong. Calm down people and don’t start reacting (or overreacting?) like sharks in a frenzy. But don’t judge a restaurant’s food ONLY by association to the owner from news media accounts. Whomever posted this photo, the pizza looks good–how good did it taste? How did it compare to other pizzas–both gourmet and chain type? If it cost $32, though I know that immediately might sound sort of high, has anyone been out there buying pizzas lately (other than Domino or Papa John’s) they–like every other kind of food–they have gotten a lot more expensive. Plus if this place is the one I am thinking in the heart of the Sunset Strip, it must have some pretty high overhead. Anyway, I’m not pro or against the owner of this place. I just get tired of people “dogpiling their comments” and flipping out when supposedly this is a sub talking about food in Los Angeles–not about politics. Thanks for letting me voice my own calmer reaction. And I am curious about what this pizza was actually like. Thanks!

Portnoy gave it a 6.4. But this looks better than the one he had.

Does it have any sauce? It looks dry.

Pie is too sweet. Like they used a sugar glaze on it. Bad.

You can get the same pizza at Walmart for just 3 bucks.
