Great dinner at Olamaie! The ribeye was flavorful but way too chewy. Dinner highlights were the broccoli and bbq cabbage dishes. Both really strong and impressive. Hush puppies were so good, too. Would skip dessert here if I visit again.
Service was impeccable—probably the best I’ve had in Austin in the last year. Really cool vibe and atmosphere. Would certainly recommend and will return to try the other main dishes and to re-order the cabbage.
Forgot to say we also got the biscuits with some honey butter which were great and the mashed/whipped potatoes which were just ok, not a hit. The mashed potatoes had the consistency of airy whipped cream which was cool to see, but didn’t work well for my personal taste.

The cabbage is amazing as is everything I’ve had there! Cute little spot, too. Medium rare ribeye was spot on when I went.

Love Olamaie and I’m not that into Southern food but they do it up right. Ambiance, drinks and service are all on point too.

One of the best dinners we’ve had in Austin. The menu sounds underwhelming, but the biscuits, beef belly, dayboat fish, and pork chop were phenomenal. The service and ambiance was also incredible.

We used to provide Olamaie with our pastured chickens back when we were still running the farm and I can testify that Micheal really walks the walk when it comes down to supporting local farmers. I know he also managed to keep his employees covered with health insurance during Covid. And the food is wonderful

Honestly, none of this looks appealing. The presentation is off.
