So good! Be sure to try the Pre-Jam if you haven’t already.

It’s a really nice and refreshing bagel sandwich. Love the squirt of citrus (tasted like lemon) they put on it.

Also that bread place next door is no joke. Picked up a cinnamon raisin brioche last time I went here and it’s so tasty. Seen them at the farmers markets, too.

Damn, I’m a sucker for a good lox and bagel, and that looks damn good. I love all those accoutrements like dill, capers, and pickled onions.

Those look amazing. How was the flavor?

Will definitely ingest this. Thanks, OP.

Also, if you haven’t had Fred’s 62 in Los Feliz, great food, cool atmosphere, and I almost always get their lox and bagels, that are very good. Peace

I think this place looks great but sort of weird they opened up directly next to a place that also serves bagel sandwiches… a local, single owned business that also serves nearly identical items. Jyan Isaac is great and I love their bagels, bread & the dough they use at Ghisallo for their pizza. Don’t get me wrong I’d try Layla bagels but I just find it sort of funny that of all the places they could open they choose next to a place that does the same exact thing.

Oh cool. This is right be me and I didn’t know about it. Thanks!

If you haven’t tried the lox bagel at Bolivar just down the street, give it a try. I actually like it even better than Layla’s.

Pickled instead of raw onions is interesting, but definitely worth considerring.

Feels like the style, gherkins, and even the box are a direct nod to Courage, and I’m glad to have more places like Courage around so that the lines become more manageable.

I thought this place was just a half of a step behind Courage in terms of quality, but having a place on the west side is a welcome change.

  10. Why am I seeing this place all over my IG feed and now on Reddit all of a sudden?

I did not want to like it. I mean a $16 egg sandwich? But damn if it isn’t worth every penny. The sauce on it is incredible.

  12. Whoa! A little more elevated than Sam’s Bagels I usually get. Looks tasty.

I won’t wait in that line but it looks good!

There’s been so many bagel places popping up lately. How does it compare to courage bagels? I’ve always wanted to try it but don’t like to wait

Can confirm. This bagel is excellent. Better than courage imo.

Meh. It isn’t courage…too doughy for my taste
