Lives up to its namesake. This place is a gut buster and pretty impressive seeing younger people taking down these combos plus ice cream!
So I’ll be upfront that I’m not a huge fan of the super rich shake shack style burger trend but this is definitely among the best in that category. What I don’t particularly like about this style is that there usually is no real balance, all you taste is over the top richness. Heavy handed solves that problem with a good amount of really tart pickles. Actually the star of the show imo. The heavy sauce actually has some depth to it beyond being just some mystery mayo. The heavy fries are what animals could be if the fries didn’t suck.
It’s definitely pricey (~$20 for a combo) but it is a lot of food. We took home half the fries and didn’t eat anything else the rest of the day we were so full.
So while 11/10 I’m still in and out all day everyday, for this rich smash burger trend, Heavy Handed delivers and worth a stop if you’re in the arena.

crispiest fries ever. Normally I never get loaded fries because i dont want to eat soggy fries but these guys have some black magic making the fries stay so crispy

Unless they have changed the grind or meat quality lately, this place isn’t it.
Got caught up in the social media hype, followed along with the grand opening, and when I finally tried it the meat had multiple bits of cartilage in it. Thought it was just a one off thing but my friends burger had it as well. Having that experience after paying the heavy prices made no sense.

I’m a burger fanatic, and I just don’t like “smash burgers”. Ok, actually I do, but i’d prefer gourmet or classic burger stand style to smash any day.

They’re okay but definitely over hype. Drive 5 min away to the Win-Dow for a much better burger for half the price

Just visited for my first time…THE BEST BURGER I’VE EVER HAD! The food is incredible… the vibes…even better! The most impressive beer list in town with rotating collections from the best breweries in the country. Do yourself a favor and pay these guys a visit
THE ORDER: Triple Combo (add chopped chilis) upgrade heavy fries and any Hazy IPA on their list will do the trick
