7800 S 1st St, ATX, located in the thicket food park. We paid 36 for 6 tacos, side of rice and beans, and tres leches. The carnitas and asada are the winners for me every time. Not super cheap but they give lots of meat in each taco and they’re so delicious. Since I first posted about them a few months ago, they’ve gotten pretty popular and were featured on Texas monthly! Everyone told me the tres leches here was the best in town, and it’s super delicious but I think canjes was better! 2 tacos is enough for one person. But I wanted 4 of them 😂 my hubby ate 2 and was happy.

Not a fan of food trucks with the exception of a few, and you’re right though, this place kicks ass. Their breakfast stuff is awesome too

Their enchiladas are probably the best I’ve ever had, the red sauce is delicious and they have a little crisp to them still. So good. All of the stuff I’ve had from them is stellar including those tacos. That whole food park is amazing.

This has been my hidden gem spot for some time. Happy to see people going! The enchiladas are good and even the vegan tacos rock. Cauliflower Al pastor hits hard!

Those carnitas look legit! Just tacos, or tortas/gorditas, as well?

I was so sad when Grace Tamale House left the Thicket (greatest barbacoa tacos I’ve ever had), but Un Mundo De Sabor is a worthy replacement!

  7. The Thicket consistently has banger after banger but it’s SO FAR down there lmao. Need to make my quarterly trek down there though to try this and the falafel place. It’s interesting, idk if the trucks seek them out or they find trucks but whatever pipeline they have is working.
