Wait ice plant? I’ve had this before at Broken Spanish, it was pretty odd but fun because it was a tiny piece of the plant. That looks like a big sprig, how was it, and what else was with it? Was it seasoned?

I know this will sound petty but they couldn’t give you better ice cream?
Freezing the bowls and frozen pre-scooped helps with that. I’d be a little miffed if I got melted ice cream. That’s not a nice way to end the meal.
Some see dessert as an afterthought but I see it as a finishing touch.
