I do something similar but I call it one pot chicken. Brown the chicken in the pan. Add your aromatics and spices and tomato paste and deglaze with a little water or wine. Add your rice (1 cups rice 2cups water) a little more water than you would normally use for rice. Cook for 15-20 minutes. Add in olives capers etc. cook another 5 minutes. Super easy one pot so no crazy clean up and a delicious dinner in about 45 minutes prep to table.
