This is my second visit here. The first time was during their grand opening and they looked slammed and didn’t have a great experience as the food wasn’t cooked well and portions were tiny. This time I ordered the mole tsukemen and enjoyed it. I personally didn’t love the mole (just my preference) but the tsukemen was made well and the karaage was fried to perfection. Mole and taco was enough food for me and I’m a big eater. I’ve had all their tacos on their menu and I’d skip it.. you get a tiny skewer that isn’t cooked too well and they run $4-$5 each. I’d go back for the ramen, glad they improved from their opening.

I hate to ask – but how do you enjoy the Tsukemen if you didn’t enjoy the dipping (mole) broth? Like you just thought the noodles were high quality and cooked well so you compliment them despite not liking the rest of the dish?

I thought the Tsukemen wasn’t great. Lacked flavor and mostly relied on good texture and a flavor that almost tasted like a hot sauce that used bitter chiles. Chicken was pretty good though.

I thought the ramen was really enjoyable.
We weren’t crazy about the mole but the fried chicken with it was divine.

I went a couple weekends after they opened and I didn’t like the Mole Tsukemen either.
My husband and I got the 2 non broth ramens, Tsukemen and the Mazemen and didn’t like either of them.
Like you we didn’t like the flavor of the Mole in the Tsukemen. The Mazemen was just too dry. I like a tripas taco with onions and cilantro but on top of the noodles it just didn’t work. Most of the Mazemen I’ve had has a lot of stuff that you mix into the noodle and the noodle end up a lot creamier than this one.
Also the noodles were gummy but since they just opened not too long it didn’t bother me.
I do want to go back and try the 2 with broth bc our friends got those and said they were good but I’m not in a hurry. My initial impression is that his combination of Mexican/Japanese flavors isn’t for me.

So that’s a Mole broth? Was it weird? Cus I love mole and hate when it’s runny. Curious cus I thought mole was supposed to be thick

Didn’t like the mole tsukemen at all when we went. The biggest problem to us was that the noodle didn’t have the right texture, and the mole wasn’t too flavored. We went there starving but still didn’t finish the tsukemen. However we liked the yakitori taco, especially the beef tongue one. But won’t go back.

I wasn’t too big a fan of the mole, but the chicken was good (warning though, the side of karaage comes glazed with a sweet sauce whereas the topping is without). My Japanese friend thought it was too spicy, but I was fine with it.
I tried a little bit of the tonkotsu, and that one was tasty.

I’m a fan. Good spot.
