Nice! I always go to the MDR Costco, so I’ll have to brave the weekend crowds for this!

This is my favorite food on earth. I grew up on the coast of Oregon, where one could catch them from the docks. I am all over this!! Thank you!

Live dungeness has been cheaper than it’s been in years. There were mad lines in Westminster when they were 4.99. We picked up a bunch for 6.99 at 99 ranch for Super Bowl.

Maybe they are cheap because last fishing season was cancelled (IIRC). The crabs were poisoned by something in the water and were deemed not safe to eat. It was either last year or the year before.

Anyhoo because of that there are probably a shit load of crabs available this season. Hence the lower prices.

  8. Ah. That’s why the guy at Costco has about 10 in his cart yesterday lol

We picked up some in Asuza, Burbank and Alhambra (different days).

In Asuza they packed three to a styrofoam pack, around $25-30 each pack. The plastic was loose and lots of juice drips out. We had to double bag with seafood bags.

In Burbank they had them two to a styrofoam pack. They were bigger and about $20-25 each. The plastic was tight and they double wrapped it so no leakage.

The Alhambra one also had two to a styrofoam pack. They were smaller and about $16-22 each. Same good tight Saran Wrap.

It’s interesting this MDR Costco uses the clear trays!
