Ultimately it was beyond their power to actually know what was in the bag of spice, it’s unfortunate that the damage to their reputation might never recover.

I empathize will all parties involved. Half just wanted to go out and have a good meal and the other half just wanted their customers to enjoy their meals. Both with no intent to harm or be harmed.

One of those is essentially poison and will empty your bowels before possibly making you hallucinate (Wolfsbane) and the other tastes like ginger.

Seems to me that if the cooks had tasted their food they would have been the first to realize that the spice was mislabelled.
