Johnny’s is so good. I’ll still Langers the nod for more traditional pastrami but yeah, on any given day I’ll take Johnny’s sandwich.

Everything at that place is great, even as crowded as it gets it feels like there’s not enough hype for the spot. Bangs when there’s live music, too (and not everyone knows there’s a related bar next door to grab drinks).

  3. What’s the name of this restaurant? Is it just Johnnys?

Hot Pastrami with Swiss double dipped with hot mustard. So good but not an everyday meal. Their chili cheese fries are amazing too.

I need to venture out. I just had Art’s pastrami recently and was decidedly underwhelmed.

  9. Where’s Philippe’s amongst these two for you?

Pleased be advised that the customer service is crappy and that you MUST MUST MUST order the pastrami tacos.

Johnny’s Pastrami on Sepulveda probably has the best pastrami dip in LA. And now that they take credit cards it’s easier to get.

Looks like you went off-script at Langer’s. Have you had the #19? Or even just their hot pastrami on rye? Way better than Johnny’s. And their latkes? Fuggetaboutit

Was disappointed in their pastrami. Glad you liked it.
