This is a really solid dumpling house that just opened up on Main Streef. Shenjiang Bao are a close approximation to what I had in Shanghai/Suzhou. Bottom is nicely seared/crunchy, packed with scalding hot soup although I wish there was a slightly better meat to dough ratio. For $9.99, you can’t do much better on PQR.
I’m not sure where it stacks up compared to Kang Kang or other contenders in LA but what I had was legit. Will be back to try their hand pies next. Bonus points for extra spicy homemade chili oil and friendly staff.

Makes me miss Cheung Hing in Hong Kong.
This place is good, but sloooooooow as hell
Has anyone tried the Chinese doughnuts and soy milk? Any good?
That all looks tasty, but where’s the pie?
is…that shengjian bao and is it better than Kang Kang?
Mmm SJBs
Looks like Yang’s Dumplings style from Shanghai! Will have to try!!!
Laughably bad service here. Our waitress (the only one) left for a half hour while we were eating.
