It took the better part of an afternoon but for an amateur baker, I’m pretty happy with the results.
Made with Claire Saffitz’s chocolate cream cheese frosting.
I didn’t have 3 eight-inch cake rounds so I substituted them with 2 nine-inch rounds and then made a four layer cake.

I’m getting my period in 2 days so yea, I’d destroy this cake.
Looks fantastic!! I wish I had a good reason to bake one of these, I made one for my mom’s birthday a few years back and she loved it (although I think I used the milk chocolate frosting that goes with the recipe)
