First time at Nic’s on Beverly and were blown away. Everything we ordered was beyond delicious. Awesome service. All plant based. $$$

Went there a few years ago and had my first maitake mushroom. Life changing — went from not really liking mushrooms to favorite food is mushrooms in an instant. Nothing else I had there was especially great (the only other dish I remember—the tajine—was memorable for being disappointing) but damn what a mushroom.

Have been a few times and am torn; on the one hand, some of the dishes were really good, but others were meh…yet all were quite expensive. One undeniable thing: the space, both inside and outside, is gorgeous.

Random fact: The Nic behind Nic’s also owns Monty’s (as well as a pizza joint on Melrose), and recently [scooped up Moby’s former space](https://la.eater.com/2023/3/27/23659001/little-pine-vegan-restaurant-plant-based-silver-lake-new-owner-moby-nic-adler-argento) in Silver Lake.

The vegan pepperoni pizza haunts my damn dreams. How is it better than an actual dairy and meat pizza!? Sorcery? Witchcraft? Faustian deal with the devil? IDK how they did it, but it’s so damn good

Wow is that omelette not really egg? What is it?

Went there one time. Will be back. For the pizza.

I agree, very friendly and competent service. LA is so good for the vegan dining!
