We decided on a whim to grab late dinner at a local spot we’ve never been to before and settled on Tara’s Himalayan Cuisine. We came in with no expectations and we’re pleasantly surprised by the great food, quaint interiors and the warm hospitality of the staff (even at 9pm on a Sunday).
Looked them up afterwards and realized they’ve been in business since 2007. Glad to hear they’re still going strong!

Decent momos and the sauce for their mutton curry is good! Everything else was just ok.

One of my favorite spots since I moved to LA in 2010! Still go there often

pre-pandemic I used to work in Culver City and Tara’s was a gem of a lunch spot. Their food is top notch but I did find their service to be a little slow. But if you have a bit of leisure time, this place is worthwhile

Oh this place is incredible. The chicken makhani is my go-to. Their potato naan is also top-notch and my Indian friend once said their samosas were the best she’s ever had.

Fyi there’s one in Brentwood now too!

I love Tara’s. It’s the only decent Nepali option outside of Artesia

I like their chicken momos a lot. Their aloo gobi is good for a side to share. Very interesting dish, haven’t had anything like this before them.

Yum! I also recommend Mayura Indian Restaurant in Culver. If you like South Indian it is *good*
