$6.99 and large chai $4 my favorite rainy day treat lately. Sambar anywhere always seems too thin for me so I asked for Chana masala on the side instead today and loved how spicy it was. It did have me wishing I got a lassi instead of chai. Once it’s warmer it might be fun to bring a cold canned wine or cocktail hehe

Love this place. Always get a #3 through. Gonna try your order next time.
Good dosa there! Also recommend the masala dosa at Samosa House.
Not sure if this is the same “India Sweets”, but the one in Torrance on Sepulveda and Ocean is pretty decent.
Recommend the samosa chana with both sweet and hot sauces, and then also the aloo gaban (eggplant).
Both are bomb and cheap eats for those on a budget👍🏽
I’m so confused because it seems like there are a handful of places called “Indian Sweets” but this is definitely my secret spot and people are always amazed when I take them.
Is the Pasadena one good?
Is this a chain? I see one in culver city
That reminds me how much a I love a samosa and chai from there.
Anecdotal: I think “Indian Sweets” is more of a generic description of what type of place it is. Sort of like bodega conjures up a picture of an establishment. All the different Indian Sweets I’ve been to, about 7, they’re all the same set-up.
Like it better than Udipi across the street?
I feel you about runny sambar!
Check out Tulsi’s sambar if you’re game for something a little richer and thicker.
Dumb question, but do you eat it like a churro? Or are you supposed to use the knife and fork?
Abomination
No sambar and why is there chole/chickpeas???
I would live at the one on Los Feliz if I could.
Where is this?
Been going here since I was a kid, authentic Indian food for a ridiculously low price.
