And it made wondering if there are any burger places that are historical, unique, out of the ordinary in LA and mainly in Pasadena. What are your recommendations? Thanks.

Pie ‘n burger is a pretty iconic burger spot in Pasadena. Been open since 1963.

Pie n Burger is classic but sorta meh (pies there are better than burgers imo).
Lucky Boy is consistent and tasty chili burgers.
Connal’s has tasty burgers and good fries and has been around a long time also.
The Hat is maybe known more for pastrami but worth checking out.
Lastly, the Tommy’s in Eagle Rock rounds out the options for ‘classic’ old school spots

Not Pasadena, but Grill Em All in Alhambra not far away.

Jake’s Trustworthy. Not sure how much historical significance there is, but they have a great burger, one of my favorites.
