I maintain Singapore’s is the best. Insofar as it’s the national dish ;). It is great hangover food.

This is one of the best dishes in south east asia. Malaysia and singapore also have a varation of chicken rice. Only a few yeara ago they added crispy chicken or crispy duck instead of boiled chicken.

So good. I ate this 3/5 days a week for lunch at the school I taught at. Cheap and delicious.

This is so easy to make at home. I cook mine using the sous vide method. Just make sure to obtain all the proper herbs, such as pandan leaves, for your dish to taste authentic and flavorful.

Any recipe recommendation will be greatly appreciated!

I feel the need to point out it’s not boiled in the traditional sense, like the way you cook pasta, it’s placed in boiling water and then reduced to a bare simmer, sometimes the flame is even shut off. It’s more accurately a long poach. On top of that the rendered fat is used, often with garlic, to cook the rice as well.
