I don’t have the non-paywall link handy, but we’ve all seen it by now!
This was fun and delicious! Having dough sit around on your counter feels weird, but that’s what we do!
I cooked these at 500 degrees on a pizza steel for 12 minutes. Probably should have gone for 14 minutes.
I used sausage and banana peppers on the first one. Not a fan of giardiniera, so I felt the banana peppers would fill that niche. The second one was sausage and pepperoni.
I watched Kenji’s video and I thought he said one-inch pieces for the sausage. I would go smaller next time. I would also cut up the pepperoni or use cubed.
This is meant to be cut into squares. Traditional cut would just feel wrong.
Overall, a great experience and a better pizza. Making this again next weekend!
