1. Add packets of powder and liquids and stir. They mix up better if the broth is warm but it’s not required.
2. Cut the entire slab of meat into thin slices about 1cm (1/4″) wide and 7cm (2.5″ – 3.0″) long and place it in the crock pot.
3. Set the timer to 10 hours on low power. “`
You can also sauté some mushrooms and two or three shallots in a small pan and add them to the pot at the beginning.
I used homemade chicken broth loaded with collagen for the images above. Everyone should have a couple pints of good broth in their freezer.
