Perhaps my favorite seafood and exclusively harvested in southern Spain. These can be bought pre-prepared or raw at local street markets. These were bought fresh and prepared by boiling in salted water. The flavor is sweet and savory with a fresh taste of the sea – plus, the tail has a taste similar to liver pate. Texture is a combination of soft and chewy.

Not the prettiest. But I’m sure they’re delicious

  3. Looks nice, very much like an oyster. Worst meal I ever made drunk- canned escargot, cheap caviar, rolled into a burrito. Disgusting!!!
