I’m interested in making this recipe—I have a question about the vodka. I understand it’s purpose, but I’m wondering if giving the berries a quick rinse after the macerating (and of course letting as much water drain off as possible) would counteract what the macerating does for the berries in this recipe? I’m sober, and while I don’t mind using alcohol in recipes where it’ll be cooked off a bit/it’s not raw, I’m worried about the raw flavor of any of the vodka syrup that clings to the berries. If it’s inadvisable to rinse, I’ll just pass on making I’ve cream as I’m an icy chunk of strawberry hater (unless anyone has other advice)
