Pizza @ Flour in Pacific Palisades

This is a brand new pizza place in Pacific Palisades where Estate Coffee used to be.

This is a huge win for the neighborhood. They sell by the slice and serve simple, NY-style pizza.

It’s easily the best pizza in the neighborhood and I think it holds up against anything on the Westside.

I grabbed a Margherita slice and what they call their house special slice, which I think adds burrata, basil, and hot honey. It’s a crisp and light slice (sans the honey and burrata), just like it’s supposed to be. Only negative for me was the honey doused onto a whole basil leaf on my slice–not sure how that’s supposed to be appetizing.

The prices have a healthy Palisades premium so prepare to be outraged.

It’s a nice time for the pizza game because Roca Pizza is a few blocks down as well, though I prefer Flour now. They each have their place though, I just lean NY-style.

Palisades Pizza unfortunately is literally across the street from these guys and has been a neighborhood mainstay for quite some time. I feel bad if they end up struggling because of Flour.
