Yes it is. I miss living close to this place. Never tried this, though! Gonna have to make a trip

PSA: Know what you’re signing up for if you order the apple pancake.

They do such a solid breakfast IMO, staff is attentive and friendly and I haven’t had a bad meal there yet 🙂

I go a couple times a month and they know now what I want to order and everyone there is great! I’m honestly amazed considering how hard they work they are so friendly and attentive. Also agree with the person who says their bacon is the best in town.

Yessssss this Dutch baby is worth the trip. Also super into the hash

I love a good dutch baby. My friends and I always get some bacon for the table and the hash browns extra crispy when at OPH.

As a Chicago native, I was a little too excited when I discovered there’s an OPH here.

  8. What am I looking at? Looks. Interesting. But good, haha.

I worked at the Mesa location, RIP. It was really hard working there and managing to stay in weight, even waiting tables. The Parmer location is an absolute treasure. It is my favorite restaurant chain because of the quality and dishes. Meanwhile, I’m eating a frozen waffle, scrambled eggs and frozen sausage links for breakfast, not complaining.

I also love their Swedes even if they do lay em all flat like reg pancakes (they’re easier to eat when rolled) Damn, I’m hungry now.

I grew up going to the original original.

I need to go for a Dutch baby soon.

Everyone raves about this place but I didn’t have a great experience, at all.

Was just there last weekend with the girlfriend. OPH is a nice chain (their hash browns are always on point!), but I was disappointed with this dutch baby. It was tasty, but felt a bit undercooked. I also didn’t like having to assemble it all together ourselves. No one does it like Ol’ South in Fort Worth.

Everything is good their but the best value is the senior ham and cheese omelet with strawberry pancakes and home made whipped cream.

Man, I have not been in an age, and I do want to go back, but as a general PSA, it’s super easy to make a Dutch baby if you already have a cast iron pan. Totally recommend it, it’s a regular at our house.

  16. SHOCKAMOLE

That looks awesome. Not too far from my office, but i never go hahah

  17. xlBoardmanlx

I haven’t tried the Dutch but everything else is top notch and as another person said great bacon. Even though it is a chain the quality is good and it has more of a local feel. It can have a long wait on the weekends …..

  18. somenewfiechick

I’ve been inspired and must try this.

  19. intronert

Agreed! My favorite has been the Belgian Pancakes with lingonberries. Perfect every time. Expect a wait Sunday.

We came here this morning because I saw this thread (we are here now) and everything yall said about the Dutch baby and about the staff being super nice is 10000% true

  21. broccoli_d

Wow, I didn’t know we have an OPH. Loved the Atlanta and Arlington, VA locations.

  22. azooey73

I didn’t know one could get a Dutch Baby in a restaurant in Austin! How cool is that? Hopefully it tasted as fantastic as it looks?

  23. katemonster727

I haven’t been to the one here which is a shame because I’ve lived 5 min away for 1.5 years. But there is one in my hometown that was my favorite. I highly recommend the strawberry crepes.

  24. nicholewagner_

Ok but they don’t have the home fries. If they had the home fries that the ones in Colorado have I would be there weekly.

  25. AmeraFearon

As someone with celiac, this place is amazing. I don’t get sick there and it tastes so good.

  26. McArthurWheeler

This is hands down the best breakfast place I have ever been to.

  27. ThreeBoysAndADog

I LOVE Dutch Baby pancakes. I grew up going to this exact pancake house. So much nostalgia! ❤️

  28. Mundane_Physics3818

    What’s wrong with your pancake?

  29. The wait is always crazy, but for good reason… it’s the best breakfast around.

  30. laughingalto

Omg what is that. It looks like liposuction from my ass!

  31. damienman12

Have two near me and I had no idea this was a National chain.
