UberEats incredibly shoddy. Charge multiple times on one order and refuse to refund.

    The order was $44.95 and I got charged four times: 44.95, 82.02, 42.02 and 5.
    I contacted Uber within 48 hours. Chat agent told me nothing They could do and said I contacted them after 48hours When it’s still within 48 hours. Shoddy as hell. Took 4x of money they supposed to chage. this is crazy

    Avoid this app and just order through competitor or directly from restaurant. Uber has Expensive service charges and money scam.

    Always file a chargeback when it comes to this sort of thing. UberEats is useless with their CS.

    Are these pending transactions or posted?

    If it’s the former I wouldn’t worry about it, it likely is some edge case with how Ubereats bills and will be cleared up by the time the transaction actually posts.

    If these are all posted I would certainly call your bank and get them to reverse the charges.

    (Edit if it’s one posted and the other pending, sometimes it takes a couple days for pending transactions to be closed, but again wouldn’t worry till you see duplicate postings)

    Interesting because there are 2 different names…. Feel like you just need someone there to better explain what the charges are. I don’t use Ubereats but what does it show you on the app side under what you have been charged vs on credit card side?

    This usually happens when they are under pending transactions, but always seem to sort themselves out for the actual transactions.

    I had an Uber driver up charge me $20 post-ride once because the “pick up and drop off locations weren’t the same as requested” which was actual bullshit because they were exactly where I was picked up and dropped off. I ended up getting that up charge refunded but it made me very weary that any Uber employee can just make a false claim and charge me without any notice or investigation. After that I deleted all uber accounts and I honestly haven’t noticed a difference in my life without it.
