Using a ziplock bag and the “shake & bake” method to roast veggies/proteins is fast, distributes the oil/seasonings evenly and reduces clean up time. Add your desired ingredients to a large bag leaving enough room to seal and move the contents around. Then just dump and spread out on a baking tray

Or you could use a bowl and a spoon like a normal human being and avoid polluting the world with one use plastic

  2. ChooseACoolName

No, all it does is adds extra steps, and uses a bunch of plastic for no reason whatsoever. Just do it on the baking tray like a normal person.

  3. Altruistic-Lynx-9863

Just cut the corner of the original bag,add ingredients, hold corner closed and shake. No need to transfer from one bag to another.

  4. speedemonsd

Ah great! another way to ingest more microplastics! ffs get a dishwasher 🤣

  5. Inspector_Kelp

I agree. There isn’t enough single-use plastics in the landfills and oceans. This will definitely help.

  6. Katalinazzz

Do you have a favorite recipe for the marinade?

  7. CoysNizl3

If you can shake it in a bag you can toss it in a mixing bowl. This is wasteful as fuck.

  8. play-flatball

mix it on the baking tray and save yourself from washing another thing

  9. yalyah057

Veg into a big bowl, pour in seasonings and oil – plate on top – shake – throw on baking tray – rinse bowl and plate. Done.

    Thanks Nanna.

It takes a solid 30 seconds to wash a bowl, but that plastic bag will live forever in some garbage pit. If you want to do this at a minimum please use a reusable bag.

  11. Huntderp

Sorry, I don’t eat food, but thanks though.

  12. gameofloans24

I just use a Tupperware container and shake it in there 🤷🏾‍♂️

  13. holadilito

This is why the planet is dying. Plastic waste for no fucking reason

  14. qsouthsue

I just use the the old fashioned method of using a bowl and tongs to toss. No expensive zip locks needed

  15. BennySkateboard

I do this in a bowl before I air fry veg. Fantastic!

  16. babyjo1982

You could do the same thing with a bowl and lid (or plate if no lid) and not waste a bag

  17. Grumpy-senior

OMG !!!! Aren’t you aware of the current micro plastics issue confronting our environment?!?!

  18. kagenoyuushi

Or mix them in a bowl and don’t use more plastic that is going to sit in a landfill for 1000 years…

  19. so every time you cook you decide to suffocate a turtle rather than cleaning a bowl/container ? 🌚

  20. BrainwashedScapegoat

So there are these things called “mixing bowls”

  21. SirGuido

Seems like a waste of time and a plastic bag
You’re already using a baking tray, just put everything on the tray and toss it up. You can even use your hands so that arthritis isn’t an issue.

  22. Artemistical

shake and bake! this is how I do it, so easy!

  23. MissDestroyertyvm

And then what do you do with the plastic bag?? This is super wasteful. Just use. Bowl like a someone who cares about the environment.

  24. Hatesponge66

Why waste a plastic bag when you could do this in a bowl.

  25. necialspeeds

DAF waste. If only we had a reusable item that you could also toss things in…

  26. TinFoilRainHat

Wasta! Squandera! Mindless miss-user! Reckless throw-away!

nooooooooope. Get your BS outta here. That’s a convenience (read: lazy) hack, not a food hack. go shake it in the bag it came in. If you don’t use all of it, throw it back in the freezer and call it marinade. Or use a tupperware/glassware.

Stop spreading this filth! Again, Wasta! Squandera! Mindless miss-user! Reckless throw-away! Glad people are calling out your poo-brain.

  27. Unique-Structure-201

Disgustingly Un-Earthy. Use a mixing bowl instead. 🥣

  28. crustygrannyflaps

unnecessary pollution. Use a damn bowl.

  29. What a huge waste of plastic. Use a bowl and throw it in the dishwasher with all the other dishes.
