Peace Bakery-Deli is a regular pit stop for me. This must be the first time I’ve been on a Monday when the daily special is brisket. It’s all Mediterranean style so the meat is spiced and served from a pan w/potatoes and veggies. As with everything else I’ve had there the flavors and quality hit just right. $15 and it’ll be both my lunch and dinner. Got to be one of the best lunch lines in town.

Love the food and the staff is always so friendly!

  4. An often unsung hero of the North Austin restaurant scene. If you haven’t been, go give it a try! Good food, generous portions, friendly staff, plus an amazing bakery on the side!

I love Peace bakery’s baba ganoush and muhamarrah, but didn’t realize they did brisket.

I went there at 3pm and got the mixed since they both looked enticing on the spit- the chicken was bone dry and the beef was tough. They need to find a way to cook to order or something during non-peak hours instead of having their food die in the heat…

  8. Is that sweet potato or carrots with the chickpeas?

  12. This place is legit. Very few places hit the same spot like Peace! I used to live off Bittern Holw, so I miss being able to just walk here for lunch 🙂
