I finally tried Win-Dow. I often hear it mentioned in best burger in LA conversations. It’s really good, but not quite in the top 5 level in my opinion. Maybe top 10 though. I hit HiHo last month and thought that was a bit better and I like Goldburger better. Anyway, it’s a cool spot and glad I tried it.

Definitely top 5 in my book. Especially for the price. Hiho is bomb too. Have you tried heavy handed?

Best for the price for sure. I like heavy handed in the area more but that’s a $17 burger and fry. The window combo is like 8-9 bucks.

  3. Top 5 for sure not even including price. Amboy is also on that list

I think the value is amazing. Got two burgers and one fries for 20 bucks which I think the trendy burger places have gone too far. I don’t need wagyu, grass fed, aioli fancy smash burgers. A burger is supposed to me an economic fast casual food. Anything that costs more than 40$ for two is taking advantage of trends. More power to you but not really something that lands with me.

Their $8 grain bowl is amazing as well.

Agree with others that it’s taste AND value that puts this top 5. The chicken sandwich, kale salad, and strawberry shake at boardwalk location are also bomb. Can get all that plus burger/fries for under $30

Went to the Silverlake location a couple times and enjoyed it — finally went to the west side one and tbh I think the ocean air in Venice gives it an advantage but wow I loved that patio, so nice!! And the dispensary a few doors down had great prices too lol

It’s at the top of the list for value. But yeah not taking price into account probably in the mix for top 10.

God I miss the Win-Dow so much great prices incred burger perfect fries. Another L for being forced to go gluten free 🥲

  10. This is in my neighborhood along with heavy handed nearby. Windo is the best value and really good. Heavy handed is definitely a bigger burger and costs more. Both good options depending on how hungry you are.

It’s a shame the Venice Boardwalk location is gone.

They were damaged by the fire that spread from the bike shop next door.

I need to give HiHo another shot. The one Studio City just seemed shitty. Chappelle Show levels of customer service (you know the skit) and the price/size ratio was sus.

Had this the other day. I think most smash burgers are about the same but I’m enjoying the trend!

Very good value for price, but definitely not the best, for me.

The Window along with Lowboy, For the Win, Burgerlords, and Burgers Never Say Die are my tops in that order. Still need to try Goldburger.

But for value alone – The Window is honestly the best for your buck, even delivered. It’s basically the only place within delivery distance that I can get a full meal (burger, fries, drink) delivered to my doorstep for less than $20 including delivery and tip.

  16. The chicken sandwich and kale salad are so good. The caramel dipped cone too!

I remember when it used to be a parking lot with little plastic chairs

LOVE the value of the menu in comparison to the quality love me a simple burger

I can’t go to the Venice Boardwalk without getting a burger from that location, it’s almost ritual at this point

Y’all need to stop lying to yourselves. They all taste the pretty much the same. I bet if any of you were blindfolded, you’d have no idea which one you’re eating.

I used to hit up Jay burgers in silverlake, they had the egg burger which was amazing.

  21. Formal_Discipline_12

Still like heavy handed over window but below gold

  22. MeatOverRice

Cheeseburger, fries, kale salad is the holy trinity

  23. ollster3000

The breakfast burrito is amazing as well

  24. Professional_Yard_76

Very hard to beat on overall price and ambiance…consistently good

Agree with other comments: You have to factor in price into these things.

Bang for buck, Win-Dow is awesome

  26. Thaflash_la

There are probably way more than 10 burgers as good or better. That’s just a commentary on how good of a burger town this is because it’s a pretty great burger.

No wonder everyone is leaving Cali.
…. Bugs are starting to look good 👍

Love Win-Dow! 4 bucks for the burger and their fries always come out cooked well + the jalapeño aioli to dip! Yasss
