  1. I throw a couple of month balls in my raised beds to keep the squirrels out. Shavings from Irish Spring soap works too. Looking forward to your updates!

  2. Becca your baby belly is so cute! I know you're prob at the stage of hurry up and get out of me lol the last weeks are soooo long ugh but she'll be here before you know it! 🥰

  3. I love watching these! I just started a garden this year and it's so fun, I can't wait to watch these type of videos while I'm gardening, it's like gardening with friends!!

  4. I'm in Ohio, but similar zone to you! I'd say your garden vermin is a chipmunk or squirrel – they've stolen most of my seeds and eaten everything that isn't deer resistant. 👿They think I'm ruining THEIR garden… that I created 🤣 I literally blamed deer last year but these little guys are relentless!! I'm testing a "sonic" deterrent next, so we'll see how they like that 😈

  5. Okay so not only did I order these crocs when I saw you post them BUT we also have the same color dramm hose attachment?! Gardening Twins 🤣

  6. I have tried petunias in almost-full-sun pots : they defenetly don't work for me, waaaaay to thirsty and they don't perk up 🙁

  7. I think your petunias will do just fine. I actually had to move mine INTO the shade last year because we had such a dry hot summer, they were getting bleached out and needed water so often, and they actually did amazing in the shade.

Re: veggie starts vs. direct seeding, I've always had better success with direct seed. The pre-started ones (meaning the ones I start myself, not the ones from a nursery) always seem to struggle more. You have to have more patience to wait to direct seed, but I find they do so much better and just take off once the weather conditions are right. Good luck!!

  8. I would suggest growing sugar snaps in the open area with your trellis. My dad has grown them the last few years and they are a delicious snack!

  9. Your looking wonderful. So sad when you put the work into planting and the dang animals have a good meal. The flowers look beautiful.

  10. Love your garden! Mine is teeny compared to yours. But I’ve crammed so much into my space but its the nasty coriander thats taken over

  11. You could always try some miniature pumpkins on the trellis, then you can use them decorate for the fall. 🎃 I spent maybe $150 on drip supplies on Amazon and it totally changed my garden. So much less stress than dragging my hose out once or sometimes twice a day. 😅 Love your channel! Hope your garden grows well ❤

  12. Late to the party as always 😂 I think you should plant luffa plants on your trellis! Also though (if you don’t mind just flowers and no produce) clematis is lovely on a trellis like that and it’s a perineal in your area so it would come back and make the garden lovely every year and attract pollinators!
